Escape the Depths

In 1911, coal miners began using sacrificial canaries to detect deadly gases. The birds, more sensitive to toxins, would show distress or die, warning miners to evacuate before gas levels became lethal. Though this practice has now ended, the spirits of canaries from abandoned coal mines still seek their final rest.

--------------------------------------------------

Objective

Dodge and avoid the toxic gases and mysterious eyeballs to obtain a total of 5 feathers from other fallen canaries and escape the mines. Good luck!

Gorgeous pixel art and snappy platforming

Thank you!!

nice game but it makes my laptop overheat and after a while it goes all slow and "blocky" so needs optimizing

Maybe I'll add an option to disable particle effects, that may help. Thanks!

horrible controls ... please add the classic ones !

Thanks for your feedback! I just updated it to have alternate controls using arrow keys. Is that what you were looking for?

19:16! Not a great score for sure, mostly due to that one dreadful section requiring really precise jumps. I still like the game though, and it's quite impressive how the game only uses four colors

That's a great time! Thanks for playing :)
